Saturday 25th January was the culmination of the twentieth anniversary celebrations when we shared fun and fellowship together.

We joined in a faith supper with everyone bringing food to share and the spread lived up to the usual Wellspring standards. Our musical theatre knowledge was tested with a quiz and many people enjoyed taking part in a beetle drive.

A splendid anniversary cake was made by Carolyn Herring, who is the sister of Dianne and daughter of Gladys. At the end of the evening the cake was cut jointly by Rev Derek Balsdon, our current minister and Rev Margaret Eaton, who was our minister when Wellspring was opened in 1994.

In the church lounge there was a display of Wellspring’s history comprising newspaper cuttings, and photographs.

Thanks were expressed to all who helped to make the evening a success.

Margaret and John Swinden.
