I have fond memories of the birth of Wellspring. The stone-laying was on a cold, misty day with a mission team visiting us. At the time I could not visualise the building as it is now.

I remember having a “Wish List” to fill in. Having visited a new Methodist Church in Great Lumley, Co. Durham, on a Rob Frost mission, it gave me some good ideas.

The first service was a nativity led by Phil Botham and then, after Christmas, the official opening was on the 8th January 1994. The minister at the time was the Rev. Margaret Eaton who, along with her late husband, Mike, spurred us on and encouraged us to move forward in the name of Jesus.

We thank God for those who were with us at the time for their inspiration and love shared among us all.

WELLSPRING TWENTY YEARS ON 2014

Having now moved to Sandbach, I still feel that I am a small part of the Church family on my occasional visits from one circuit to another. I still feel the spirit of Wellspring is alive today.
